What’s coming, and when to order

The days of the year when the most flowers are given. For the big ones we reserve the flowers at the market days ahead, so best not to leave it until the night before.

  1. Pink roses in zinc buckets at the shop door

    14 February

    Valentine’s Day

    Red roses, tulips or a small bouquet to give.

  2. Purple anemones, red ranunculus and larkspur in zinc buckets

    17 and 18 March

    The Ofrenda

    Bouquets for the Ofrenda, the Fallas flower offering to the Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, Valencia’s patron saint. Tell us which falla you’re with and the colour you’re wearing.

    First Sunday in May

    Mother’s Day

    In Spain it falls on the first Sunday in May. Bouquets and plants to take round to her: order a few days ahead and we’ll have it ready.

    All Saints’ Day

    In Spain families take flowers to the cemetery on this day. Arrangements and bouquets: best ordered early, as it’s one of our busiest times.

Made here, not brought in ready-made

The flowers come in in the morning and are made up at the counter, in full view. There’s no stockroom and no bouquets left over from last week: what you see in the buckets by the door is what we have that day, and that’s what we work with.

We work just as carefully with fifteen euros as with a hundred. Tell us who it’s for and how much you’d like to spend. If something isn’t looking its best that day, we’ll tell you first and find something else.

What’s here today is what there is. And what there is gets made today.
